  অহিন্দ্রী ব্যানার্জী মূল্যবোধের ঘাটতি এই স্কুল-কলেজ পড়ুয়া থেকে একট বড় অংশের যুবসমাজের মধ্যে এক ক্ষয় যা সামাজিক ঘটনাবলির আরও অবনতিকে চরমভাবে ত্বরান্বিত করছে। নৈতিকতা বা মূল্যবোধের ঘাটতি এই প্রজন্মকে দিচ্ছে আপোষ করে চলার এক অসীম ধৈর্য্য যা একটা সময় পর তার ঠিক ভুল বিচার করার ক্ষমতা বিলীন করার সাথেই একদিন তাকে নৈতিক শিক্ষা বিনাশকারীতে উত্তরণ ঘটাবে। এবং এর অন্যতম কারণ হচ্ছে রাজনৈতিক অসেচতনতা। এই রাজনৈতিক অসেচতনতা তো শুধুমাত্র কোন দল ভোটে লড়ে তা না জানার ওপর ভিত্তি করে তৈরি হয় না, রাজনীতির পরিসর আরও বড়। সমাজের কোনো ঘটনাই বিচ্ছিন্ন নয়, ঘটে একটা সূত্র ধরে। আর সেই সূত্র সেই সময়কার রাজনীতির অংশ।  আমি যখন স্কুলে পড়তাম, ৯-১০ বা তার পরেও, আমার সমবয়সীদের মধ্যে চারিপাশে ঘটে যাওয়া সামাজিক বিষয় গুলো নিয়ে কোনো আগ্রহ দেখতাম না। তবে কোনো সিনেমা কে করল, কে কোন কাপ পেল ক্রিকেটে তা তারা খবর রাখত। মেয়েদের ক্ষেত্রে আরও একটা বিশেষ জিনিস ছিল সাজগোজের সরঞ্জাম নিয়ে আপডেটেড থাকা। তা ভালো, আমি তখন মনে করতাম যে সকলের সব বিষয়ে এত তাড়াতাড়ি মাথা ঘামানোও বাধ্যতামূলক নয়। কিন্তু কলেজে উঠেও য...

                           —অহিন্দ্রী ব্যানার্জী  আমি দেখেছি সে কৃষ্ণচূড়ার গাছ প্রকান্ড ডালপালা দিয়ে বোনা বিস্তর ছাওয়া তার, আর– টকটকে লাল চেলিতে অপূর্ব শৃঙ্গার। যেখানে সে ছিল দাঁড়িয়ে আমি দেখেছি তাকে অনেক দূরে তার শিকড় আমার পায়ে বেড়ি বেঁধেছিল আমি খুঁজেছিলাম মুক্তির পথ, হেঁটেছিলাম তো– কিন্তু, কাঁটাতার! পেরোতে রক্তাক্ত হয়েছিলাম সেদিন। কিন্তু আসলে যে আমি অনেককাল আগেই সে কাঁটাতার পেরিয়ে, পৌঁছেছিলাম কৃষ্ণচূড়ার কাছে– সেইদিন, যেদিন আমার বাগানে ওর শিকড় আমার পা বেঁধেছিল। বুঝেছিলাম কৃষ্ণচূড়া অনির্বাণ! তবে যেদিন আমি রক্তাক্ত হয়েছিলাম সেদিন ছিল শীতকাল, কৃষ্ণচূড়া বড় মায়াবী,  যেন শেষ পাপড়িটুকু রেখেছিল আমায় সহানুভূতি দেখাতে আমার কপালে চুমু খেয়ে আমার রক্তে মিশতে– আমিও লুটিয়েই পড়েছিলাম। শক্তি ছিলনা আমার মোটেই। আলতো করে যেন কে ছুঁয়ে যায় কপালে– কে? কে? খুব চেনা স্পর্শ! চোখ খুলে দেখি, সেই কৃষ্ণচূড়া.... শীতের শোষণ ভেঙে বসন্ত এনেছিল সেদিন সে টকটকে লাল আভা ছড়িয়ে পড়েছিল চারিদিকে— সাহসে ভরা অগ্নিচক্ষু দেখে...

                                     ---- অহিন্দ্রী ব্যানার্জী    আমাদের শৈশব কেটে গেছে ইমারতে, চুরি গেছে শৈশব ওদের ধূলোভরা ফুটপাথে মুলতুবি রয়েছে পাওনা যত ভন্ডামির লালসাতে মুখ চেয়ে রয়ে,উঁকি দিতে চায়, চায় বেড়িয়ে আসতে রাস্তার ধারে,ঘেরা গাছের ডালে,কাপড়ে বাঁধা দোলনায় অকৃত্রিম মুখের হাসি যেন কান্নার ডাক পাঠায়। খুব চেনা রাস্তাগুলো যেন নতুন গল্প দেখায়, দামী গাড়ির কাঁচ ভেদ করে তা কী ধরা দেয়?  I close my eyes, and I see —  A tree full of flowers  with no man to water it on a summer's day But, tear out the the flowers to decorate their houses.  I open up my eyes,  and I see — Kids starving, with their fathers having fields full of crops.  But, somebody looting all the grains — and I close my eyes again.  I close my eyes again and I see, We all are turtles, running on a race  actually played and control by rabbits  who are resting under a tree We reach the final stretch but, contradicting the old adage,  the rabbits win.  I open up a my eyes. *From a damn hindu devotee to an atheist.* Although I call myself an atheist now,I was not always like this.I couldn’t accept people from a specific religion. I'm 17 now,although I've passed a very little part of my life,I've seen, observed and concluded a lot.I'm gonna start from the beginning. I come from an Indian hindu brahmin family,my parents and the other older members were so in the religious things.My uncle is a hindu priest,we worshipped goddess kali at our home with flamboyance. My mother arranged the puja things devotedly.I've two sisters,the eldest one was so much in these things.So basically I had always been in a religious atmosphere. I remember once at a point,I was about 9 years old, I dreamt of being a scientist. I dreamt of construct two temples in my house one of goddess kali, another of goddess tara as kali was worshipped at our family. A while later I realised they r all female so I need a male one too,as if it was choosing female and ...

Nowadays it is a big question what is deshbhakti , who is deshbhakt , how to be a deshhakt and so on... Okay first of all to know the answers we have to be clear about "desh".  what is "desh" or nation?  N ation or desh is something that denotes the citizens of it. Includes every person who was born in the soil of a configured map.  That means every cast,religion,gender,profession  is counted as desh.Now Let's come to what is deshbhakti.Thinking about the people of nation and raising question for their safety,rights.. in a single word for them.Who are deshbhakt then?Obviously the persons who do these. And also an important thing, that is whom to ask ?  Naturally to govt. of your country and state because it is their duty to give sufficiency to citizens all over the country.
